MIT Pune has a rich legacy of over 4 decades in the field of education and is known amongst the top education institutions in India. It was established in the year 1983 by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad. MIT Group has 10+ campuses across India covering 1000+ acres of land with world class infrastructure and amenities.


The Founders of MIT Pune, have now embarked upon a journey to make their vision of ‘Attaining World Peace through Education’ a reality. A step towards this vision has been that MIT Group of Institutes, Pune has been accorded status of University by name Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune (MIT – WPU). Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University is established under Govt. of Maharashtra Act No. XXXV 2017 and is recognized by UGC.


MIT - WPU is situated in Pune, which is the cultural capital of Maharashtra. MIT-WPU is the center for scientific, educational, technological & spiritual development. MIT-WPU offers UG, PG, Ph.D., Certificate and Diploma programmes in Liberal Arts, Fine Arts, Media & Journalism, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Design, Political Leadership & Governance, Education, Law and Computer Sciences. At any given point of time, more than 50,000 students are pursuing various courses across 65+ Institutes of MIT World Peace University through campus programmes.
