Rahul Vishwanath Karad is a dynamic educationist at the forefront of the 70+ institutes strong MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, Pune as its Vice President and Trustee. An alumni of Cardiff-UK, Harvard Business School and MIT-Pune, Rahul joined MIT Group in 2005 and has successfully led the expansion of MIT-Pune from Engineering Education to fresh streams like-Management, Arts, Science, Commerce, Humanities, Politics and Governance. He is well-known for thinking ahead of times and for his great patriotic fervour that has culminated into many first of its kind Initiatives under the aegis of MAEER’s MIT and now MITWPU. These Unique ‘Seed Thoughts’ from Rahul Karad are driving grassroots level impact and reforms through Institutions such as- the ‘MIT School of Government-which is Asia’s first Institution imparting an in-depth study program in Political Leadership and Governance’. Establishment of Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad Foundation in 2009, which is India’s first Students Parliament famously known as ‘BCS-Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad’ was another step in the direction if nation Building by Inspiring Youth. BCS has been conducted as a state chapter for the first time by Govt.of India body of Kerala State Government with MITWPU as its Knowledge Partner and recently conducted as ‘National Youth Parliament’ at the Centre by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Govt., BCS Chapters have also been conducted Independently by Youth Leaders from BCS Community across states of Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh to mention few. Knowing that a Nation is as strong as its weakest link, he felt the need to create a platform for empowering Indian Women. Thus began the journey of first National Women’s Parliament in Andhra Pradesh under patronage of Shri. Chandrababu Naidu in year 2017. As a committed Educationist, he values the contribution that Teachers make to the society since the days of Indian Gurukul System. To empower the Teaching Fraternity especially from Higher Education Segment, the ‘National Teachers Congress Foundation (NTC)’ was established. NTC is first of its kind confluence of 5000+ Teachers serving Higher Education across India and the World. Rahul Karad continues to set new benchmarks in Education Segment through the first of its kind ‘Sarpanch Sansad’-a conference of appointed representatives of over 50 Villages across State of Maharashtra-in India to drive transformative changes in Rural India; creation of the first and only platform where UPSC qualifiers from across states of India get felicitated each year since 2011, at the hands of highly decorated Class I Officers in Service, inspiring other University Students to look at avenues for serving their nation.
